Study In Canada

Why Canada? Canada is the best country for international students, and there are several reasons for it. First of all, it is the second-largest country in the world, and its size generates various possibilities for immigrants. Any nation’s size plays a significant role in the demand of people in a particular country. If we compare the number of people who settled in Canada in the past decade with other countries, we can easily observe, Canada stands out from the crowd. Besides, Canada’s Government supports international students, and the whole world became the witness when the international students received 2000 Canadian dollars in the pandemic situation. This incident showed their concern about immigrants, and it proved why Canada is the first choice for international students. College Categories While choosing a college or a university in Canada, it is necessary to check the DLI (Designated Learning Institutes) status of the educational institution. In Canada, all the colleges and universities come under the public and private category. Candidates should choose a public college or university because public colleges and universities are always better in terms of studies, cost, facilities and visa success rate. Sometimes, candidates have to choose a private college due to less score in IELTS and low academic score. In that case, a candidate must check the DLI (Designated Learning Institutes) status of the college, whether it is active or not. If it is not active, the candidate is not eligible for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) after completion of the program. Visa Categories There are two visa categories a candidate can apply for a student visa: one is SDS (Student Direct Stream), and the second one is Non-SDS. SDS (Student Direct Steam) – If an applicant has 6.0 bands in each module at least, and he/she has paid one-year tuition fee, then the candidate’s file will be processed, under SDS category. In SDS category, the visa success rate is higher than Non-SDS category. Additionally, the processing time for SDS file is lesser comparatively. So there are two conditions to file under SDS category; IELTS with 6.0 bands in each module and full payment of first-year tuition fee. Only seven countries have the authority to apply under SDS category: China India Morocco Pakistan Philippines Senegal Vietnam Non-SDS – If a candidate is not able to fulfil any of the requirement of SDS category, such as candidate’s IELTS score is less than 6.0 bands in any module or he/she paid just first-semester fee. In any case, the applicant’s file will be processed, under Non-SDS category. It is always advisable that the candidate should show next year fee in the account with the relevant source of funds. GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate) GIC is kind of amount, which every candidate has to deposit in a Canadian bank. Generally, it should be of 10,000 Canadian dollars, but it could little vary. This amount will be returned, to the candidate in some parts every month by the bank. This money is for the living expenses of the student. GIC is a sort of assurance that the candidate has sufficient funds for his/her living expenses in Canada. The first part, a candidate receives is 2000 Canadian dollars.
